The fund continues to be run as before with balanced allocation to each segment. It has only hiked its small-cap presence marginally to honour new allocation norms for this category. The fund manager is comfortable taking material deviations relative to index in this fund. Its broader market presence and value bias has hurt its return profile badly in past two years. However, the presence of a seasoned, proven fund manager at the helm provides comfort. The strong pick up in performance over past few months is heartening but investors should stick around over entire market cycles to reap rewards of its differentiated stance.
