Amazon reached an important delivery speed milestone in 2023, delivering more than 7 billion units to Prime members globally at the fastest speeds ever. This milestone includes over 4 billion deliveries in the US and over 2 billion in Europe. The company achieved this by regionalizing its operations and transportation networks, shortening the average distance each package traveled by up to 25 kilometers in Europe. Amazon plans to make deliveries even faster in 2024 by leveraging AI, optimizing inventory placement, and expanding its Same-Day Delivery service.
