In a setback to INDIA bloc, AAP-Congress candidate Kuldeep Singh, who seemed comfortably placed, was defeated by BJP’s nominee, Manoj Sonkar, in the Chandigarh mayoral election here on Tuesday. The result followed eight votes being declared invalid by presiding officer Anil Masih, a nominated councillor who’s also a BJP worker.
