The Karnataka Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Bill, 2021, better known as the anti-conversion bill, was finally passed in the legislative council on Thursday, nine months after it was tabled in the assembly. The bill was passed after a heated debate of six hours and amid a walkout by opposition Congress and JD(S) members.
